Department of Sanskrit
Department of Sanskrit was established at the time of the establishment of college itselfi.e in 1951. The subject was introduced in thePanjab University and degree classes as an elective subject Sanskrit was also introduce as an optional subject in BA 2nd year. As per Panjab University Chandigarh instructions there was a provision of teaching Sanskrit as an optional subject for B.Sc and b.com classes for a couple of years. Inspite of being located in Punjabi speaking ruler area, we are able to persuade our B.com students also to opt. for Sanskrit optional subject in 1997-1998 B.Com student who opted for Sanskrit optional record above 60% marks.
